This book happens to be the first one that I have ever read from author J.L. Perry, but I already know that it won’t be the last because I cannot wait to go back and read some of her earlier work. Jax was an extraordinary read filled with emotion that captured my attention from beginning to end! Throughout this book, we follow Jaxson “Jax” Albright, the disgusted son of the well-known Politician, Malcom Albright. Born with a silver spoon in his mouth, Jax has been groomed to follow in his father’s footsteps. He’s misunderstood by everyone except for Candice, his pink-haired rebel. She is the daughter of Sophia, a model and beauty queen turned single mother after the “sperm donor” known as Candice’s father ran out on them. Since Sophia had her young, she enjoys living vicariously through her daughter, entering Candice in beauty pageant after beauty pageant. Growing up in the same circle, nobody understands them except for one another. Jax and Candice’s story was so beautifully written that it left be feeling all warm and fuzzy. This was the story of two best friends. J.L. Perry does an amazing job developing and shaping her characters into people that we can all relate to. The struggles that they faced throughout the book just helped to make them more relatable. If that isn’t enough, their romance will ignite a fire in your heart and leave you craving more.

Due to be released on the 27th May, 2015. She's also currently writing a fifth book, a standalone, that will be released later in the year. It's called 'A Beautiful Bastard'. This is NOT part of the Destiny Series. J L's love of romance and happy endings makes a perfect combination when it comes to writing her beautiful love stories.
Her hobbies include reading, writing, drinking wine, shopping, listening to music, and anything artistic or creative. She loves spending time with her family, friends and her dog when she isn't writing. She also loves being outdoors and travelling and exploring the world.
